i have problems by getting the share URL. The ShareResponse is successfull but the returned Object is always Nothing so i get a NullReferenceException.
I can upload files and create folders. But anything else, for example getMetaData or get the share returns always Nothing. Is it my fault or did they change something in the API of Dropbox?
Hi,
Are you able to send me a working solution with this error?
Are you able to debug the Http request with fiddler? That will determine if its actually getting returned from the API or not.
From the given code I can't really tell where the problem is.
Does your Client have UseSandbox set to true?
Dim client As DropNet.DropNetClient
Private Sub Form1_Load(sender As Object, e As EventArgs) Handles MyBase.Load
client = New DropNet.DropNetClient("apiKey", "appSecret", "userToken", "userSecret")
client.UseSandbox = True
End Sub
Private Sub Button1_Click(sender As System.Object, e As System.EventArgs) Handles Button1.Click
client.GetShareAsync("/test1.docx", AddressOf share_success, AddressOf share_failed)
End Sub
Sub share_success(success As DropNet.Models.ShareResponse)
If IsNothing(success) Then
MsgBox("Function returned nothing")
Else
MsgBox("Function returned an object")
End If
MsgBox("successful")
End Sub
Sub share_failed(exception As DropNet.Exceptions.DropboxException)
MsgBox("failed")
End Sub
End Class
Of course i have filled in the right api key and so on. I dont want to post it here. :-) So upload and download works fine. But getting any infos somehow fails.
What happens is... the messagebox "Function returned nothing" pops up.
I downloaded fiddler but i dont know what to do. Tell me please.
